TODDLE AROUND THE LAKE AND LEAVERS
DAY 23 July 2010
The weather was perfect for our last day of the Summer Term.
We met at the glorious Dunorlan Park for a very enjoyable and
active day.
Children, parents, carers and staff successfully ambled around
the beautiful lake. We saw ducks, geese, turtles and climbed
on the fallen trees. We arrived back at our chosen spot under
the shade of a tree overlooking the lake.
The children still had more energy and after some refreshment
carried on to join in games with Gemma Norman, one of our mums,
who provided an excellent Active Kids session on the grass nearby.
After a healthy picnic the time came to say farewell to the
children who are moving on to Primary School and some who are
moving away to other Pre Schools. Medals and Certificates were
awarded to those “graduating” to big school. Tears,
cuddles and wishes of good luck for all those moving on.
The day successfully celebrated the children’s achievements
and the time they have spent at The Barna-Bus Pre School. Some
have been with us for over two years. The farewell has sent them
on their way to the next part of their Learning Journey.
Thank you to all parents, carers and friends who have supported
the Pre School and who came to Dunorlan. To date £450 has
been raised to support the Pre School in its continuing work.
We look forward to seeing all our remaining children plus many
new ones in the week beginning 6th September 2010.
